Time to go! - C'est le temps de partir!

Well folks, my bags are almost all packed and I am just a few days away from meeting our friends at Akany Avoko. I can hardly wait! What an adventure awaits!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person that has had a hand in making this project possible. I would also like to thank those who donated items to the kids. I am sure they will make good use of the nice things you’ve given.

So with no further ado, I present to you the final amount! Drumroll please! : $2000.00 in Canadian funds of course.

Thank you all so much and stay tuned for pictures and video footage. I will do my best to write while away but if I can’t, I will do so first thing upon my arrival.

Alors, mes bagages sont Presque prêts et il ne reste que quelques jours avant que je puisse rencontrer nous amis d’Akany Avoko. J’ai tellement hâte! Quelle aventure!

J’aimerais prendre cette opportunité pour remercier chaque personne qui a joué un rôle dans ce projet. J’aimerais aussi remercier les personnes qui ont donnés des biens aux enfants. Je suis certaine qu’ils en feront très bon usage.

Alors sans plus tarder, je vous présente le montant final…… $2000.00 en fonds canadiens bien certain.

Spaghetti - update!

A big thank you to the wonderful team of the NA30 in Valleyfield. The spaghetti lunch was a success.

I would particularly like to thank Marjolaine Grenier for having organised this activity.

Plus, your spaghetti is so good!

Zumba! Update

Today’s Zumba activity was a total success!!!

We managed to raise $590.00!!! (see below for the list of participants)

A heartfelt thank you to all of you who participated and even bigger thanks to Nancy Metsos!

Nancy was the one to come up with the idea. Not only did she give her time and the use of her studio but she gave one heck of a class! Everybody enjoyed themselves.

L’activité de Zumba de ce matin a été un succès!

J’aimerais, du fond de mon cœur, remercier tous ceux qui ont participé et un encore plus gros merci à Nancy Metsos!

Nancy a été celle qui a eu cette merveilleuse idée. Non seulement a-t-elle donné son temps et l’usage de son studio, mais en plus elle a donné tout un cours de Zumba! Tout le monde s'est beaucoup amusé.

Dîner Spaghetti / Spaghetti lunch

I am, once again, completely floored by the generosity of people.

Marjolaine Grenier, a fellow colleague who works in the Valleyfield office of NA30 (company for which I work for), has taken it upon herself to host a spaghetti lunch fundraiser to help my cause.

I can’t wait to taste that wonderful spaghetti!

I will be attending the lunch which will be on Wednesday, May 18 and will post the results afterwards.

I would like to thank Marjolaine from the bottom of my heart for her incredible generosity.

Je suis, une fois de plus, complètement bouleversée par la générosité des gens.

Marjolaine Grenier, une collègue qui travaille dans le bureau de Valleyfield de NA30 (là où je travaille), a pris l’initiative de faire un dîner spaghetti à titre de levée de fonds pour aider ma cause.

J’ai bien hâte de gouter à ce fabuleux spaghetti!

Je serai au dîner qui sera mercredi le 18 mai, et j’afficherai les résultats par la suite.
